90th
Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in
Tehran
April 24, 2005 - In 24th
April, tens of thousands of Armenians of
Tehran gathered in St. Sarkis Church in
order to honor the victims of the Armenian
Genocide of 1915 in Ottoman Turkey.
This year, in 90th anniversary of the
Armenian Genocide, Armenians of Tehran
marched from St. Srakis Church in Karimkhan
street to St. Mariam (Astvadsadsin) Church
in Mirza-Kouchakkhan street, to show their
protest against denying the fact of the
Genocide by Turkey.
This ceremony was finished after speech of
Armenian prelate of Tehran, Archbishop Sepouh Sarkisian and reading a declaration in
condemning this historical crime.
